Journalists in war zones have faced deliberate targeting by state and non-state actors seeking to suppress inconvenient reporting. The systematic targeting of reporters in conflict zones like Syria, Iraq, and Gaza, where numerous journalists have been killed in circumstances suggesting intentional strikes rather than incidental casualties. The targeting of journalists functions as a form of information warfare: eliminating the witness eliminates the record. The title ‘Mis Dis Mal’ represents the three categories of information - Misinformation, Disinformation and Malinformation.
